As most of my clients know all too well, I'm absolutely obsessed with dry shampoo. Being a fine haired girl myself, keeping the oily roots at bay is always a challenge. I'm going to share some of my favorite secrets for dry shampoo.... there is more than one way to love it!
1. Find your hair gets oily by next morning? Try spraying dry shampoo in at your roots the night you wash it, this way while you sleep you'll create natural volume/texture & the oil won't have a chance to present itself.
2. Need a bit more vavavoom to your style? Use dry shampoo as a texture spray, or even better- use it WITH a texture spray* for even sexier lived-in results.
3. Spray dry shampoo in fresh washed wet hair (YES, I said wet hair) and blow dry with additional desired products. It's basically a combination of #1 & #2. I learned this trick at an advanced styling class with Jon Reyman and immediately tried it on myself because I was as awestruck as you are now and I'm thrilled with the results. I'm sporting Day #2 hair as we speak and I didn't have to put a thing in it this morning- just brushed and headed to work. Double yay!
*What is this texture spray I keep raving about? It's only, EVERYTHING! It basically creates tiny spider webs in your hair (not gross I promise) keeping your style bouncy & voluminous. Spray it in your hair, as if you are spraying anti-static spray up your skirt (I know I'm weird, but it's the best way to explain it). Simply lift a veil of hair up and spray, continue until desired fullness is achieved.
But Nadine! My hair won't feel soft and luxurious with all these dry products. Well girlfriend, do you want your hair to look good or feel good? Choose one and style accordingly. Seriously though, do it.
